The Two Blondes have many things that we like to do regularly. One of the most important is to get up to see the Dartmoor Christmas Tree as close to Christmas day as we can manage. In 2014 it was the 23rd of December; this time is was Christmas Eve. We went to visit to make sure that any decorations placed by us or others were still in place and that there was no litter or mess to tidy up. Despite the strong winds there was no clearing up to be done. After our visit we stopped for a quick mince pie at Home Farm Café at Parke in Bovey Tracey.

We liked everything about it … well almost everything. We didn’t like the fact that there was a parking meter! (Don’t tell anyone but we forgot to pay anyway!) We especially liked the very tasteful decorations.

We have never been before and we think that it might be a new tradition to stop here on the way back from our Christmas visit to the tree. We promise that we will pay to park next time!
