I have worked with a very inspirational lady over the last few years who manages to run the DofE Award for hundreds of children, takes trips to Peru every now and then with students, is a mum of 2 and holds down a teaching job. I don’t know quite how she does it all but she manages it with seeming ease! I watched her training some of our Young Leaders on aspects of DofE and was inspired to extend my own skills. The training I need to be able to become a similar trainer goes under the heading of ‘Train the Trainer’. I will get around to it eventually … probably … maybe.

Passing skills onto others is a favourite thing to do for both of the Blondes (hence the Blonde Guided Walks) and it seems that Numbers and Search have already got the bug. They have just passed their level 3 BEL Award with me and are already chomping at the bit to train our new Young Leaders Giggles and Eager to achieve their level 2 BEAL Award. I am very pleased that all that they have learned with me is not going to waste and they are sharing their knowledge with their peers. Job done I think. (Cue: Blonde One sitting back with a huge smile of satisfaction watching experts at work.)
