Blogging, just like working with kids, is a constant learning curve. The great thing about these 2 activities is the necessity to get your facts straight! I have been known in the past to make up answers to questions that I don’t know the answer to, such as “five minutes just around the corner” in answer to “how far is it now” but on the whole I do try to get things right. If I’m asked a question that I don’t know I will usually try to look it up on returning home so that I can at least get the answer right next time it is asked. Blogging is similar in that before I put up a post I try to make sure that things are factually correct. I have recently learnt:

A group of starlings is called a murmuration.

The cattle grid was invented by Mr Hickey.

The Prince Hall Hotel was built in 1443 (blog to follow).

Jelly Babies are more popular than Wine Gums.

To remove yourself from a bog you should fall forwards first.

To get an emergency rescue from the middle of Dartmoor you should ask for the Police upon calling 999.

An interesting and varied list, I think you will agree?!
