The first DofE expedition for Trinity School in 2020 was a little different to the usual, but no less successful! The Covid restrictions meant that we had to make some changes to our normal way of working. Camping was not permitted, social distancing needed to be taken into account and the group aim could not involve any sharing of equipment. Despite this, the team took it all in their stride and achieved a near perfect expedition. From start to finish the team showed resilience, leadership and courage in their two day walk. They demonstrated some excellent skills to achieve a successful trip and as always, were a pleasure to spend time with.
By far the biggest challenge for the team was the gorgeous autumn heat combined with some very steep coastal path sections. The promise of a swim in the school swimming pool on their completion was enough to power them to the top though!
After the team had gone home the staff had a dip too! Happy days!
