A few weeks ago you might remember that I got up at 4.30 am to enjoy the sun rising over the sea at Teignmouth. This time, to see the sunrise I got up at 4.15 am with the intention of swimming as well as seeing the stunning horizon light up. I’m not the biggest fan of swimming if I’m honest and anyone that knows me well will tell you that I get cold really easily and take ages to warm up. So sunrise swimming doesn’t really seem to be an ideal new hobby for me! Having said that, I am all in favour of trying something new and getting out of your comfort zone. I was definitely out of mine. Blonde Two normally holds the monopoly in the sea swimming department and has recently given some superb advice about this activity that is well worth paying attention to. For my first trip into the water at sunrise I took with me a fully qualified life guard, scuba diver and first aider, so I was pretty well covered!

It was a fabulous morning that I thoroughly enjoyed. I don’t think I will be doing it every day but I definitely will be back soon!
