I came across this hidden stone a couple of months ago. It is not in a particular beauty spot and it is well hidden. I have no idea who these four people are. Their names are certainly crying out for a story to be written about them. I have so many questions:
Why that particular Dartmoor place?
Why write the four names in two pairs?
Is it a memorial?
Does it mark a happy time?
Is the poetic nature of the names a coincidence?
Am I doing the wrong thing posting a picture of it on the internet?
I am usually very curious and want solid answers; but this time, there are so many stories in my head about Clem and Meg, Thomas and Athena that I would prefer not to find out the real one.
