We all love to find things and to collect things so this idea by St Luke’s Hospice in Plymouth is perfect to get children out and about over the summer! They’ve created an Elmer parade. There are over 40 Elmer the elephant statues scattered across Plymouth to try and find. You can get a paper map or download an app to record your finds. Here’s a selection of the ones I found. They are bright and cheerful and a fantastic addition to the city streets, as well as being a great way to get people of all ages using maps and getting outside. Well done St Luke’s Hospice! They’ve all been designed by local artists and sponsored by local businesses. Better be quick though; the elephants will only be in situ until 13th September.
Dartmoor did a similar thing with otters which was also extremely popular with adults.
They’re gorgeous!
Indeed they are. Hopefully they will be auctioned off at the end of the season to adorn someone’s garden!
We have been overrun by Oor Wullies.
I had to Google Oor Wullies. They look brilliant!
