Alongside the Country Walking Magazine’s Walk 1000 miles challenge, Trail Magazine are running their own challenge entitled ‘Everest Anywhere‘. This one is about recording the meters that you climb over a year in an effort to climb the height of Everest: a mere 8848 meters.

I’m going to have a go at this one too even though I’ve chosen the worst year to take this on. This is the first year in ages that I won’t be climbing any snowy Scottish mountains in February and I won’t be leading a trip to the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco either! Let’s hope that the hills on Dartmoor will be enough to do the trick.

Why not join me in this challenge?
