Have you ever heard of flashpacking? I hadn’t until recently, but apparently Blonde Two and I have been doing it for years!
Flashpacking is a bit like glamping. It is backpacking in a more luxurious kind of way. Instead of staying in hostels and tents, flashpackers will stay in much nicer hotels or guest houses. Rather than sharing a pack of beer with fellow travellers, flashpackers will be found drinking the local wine. Flashpacking is mostly done by slightly older people who have money to spend on more civilised ways of travelling. I don’t mind being a flashpacker because I also know how to enjoy backpacking.
Any form of travel, in my opinion, is to be encouraged, whether it’s backpacking, flashpacking or any other kind of packing!
