We Blondes have worked with KEEN for a while now and are very proud to announce that they have launched a fantastic scheme in response to the global COVID crisis. As a family owned and values-led brand, KEEN have made a pledge to provide up to 100,000 pairs of shoes, to the workers on the front lines and to families and individuals at home fighting through the crisis.
Here’s their message…
‘Not all of us are able to have the luxury to be able to adapt our working lives from home – so whether these shoes help a worker stay comfortable during a long shift or simply allow people to get outside to breathe in the benefits of nature and fresh air whilst practicing safe and current, local social distancing advice, KEEN feel compelled to share their strengths for the common good. Whilst of course we understand shoes may not be a priority for some, KEEN stand for community and believe that by working side by side, and sharing our respective resources, we can channel positivity in adverse circumstances to create a movement of helping others. Together we can help.
So, in order to do this, I wanted to ask for your help please. Is there someone you know who you feel could use some support during this difficult time? Perhaps care, social or teaching staff who are supporting children and those in need or a treat to boost their morale? Maybe a neighbourhood outreach worker caring in the community for the elderly? Or a friend or family member experiencing financial hardship who could be helped by a gesture of encouragement to get out into their garden or an appropriate, safe open space (adhering to local, current social distancing guidance) to maintain their wellbeing and mental health?
Simply click on the link below and our amazing colleagues in KEEN Rotterdam will reach out to them to arrange to provide them with a new pair of shoes at no cost.’
We Blondes are sure you will agree this is a very generous offer. We have a few family members ourselves who will be on their feet even more than usual over the next few weeks. KEEN have allocated some 100,0000 pairs of shoes across the globe, so of course please do feel free to share this message if you feel you have individuals you wish to nominate.
