This week’s Friday’s phrase came to light (completely unintentional but impressive pun) while I was doing a bit of local research for an article for Countryfile Magazine. Apparently Brixham isn’t immune to the daily navigation issue of darkness! This was obviously said with feeling and with a touch of sarcasm!
‘The chances of getting lost multiply after the sun goes down, due to poor visibility. The sun goes down at least once a day in these areas.’
Sometimes it appears to forget to get up in the morning – definitely still in its pyjamas this morning, having left the shower on!
Sometimes it appears to have forgotten to get up in the morning – it is still in its pyjamas today, having left the shower running!
As my Grandad used to say, “it’ll either go dark or rain before morning!!”
