Every now and again a piece of outdoor kit comes along that instantly makes you feel epic. This was my experience when I first unwrapped my new Fjallraven walking trousers. Fjallraven is a brand that is synonymous with Scandinavian-style adventure, high quality and perhaps a touch more monetary investment than one would usually be prepared to make in one’s outdoor enjoyment. You only have to look at the adventure-sized pockets, play with the sensible venting zips or test the strength and suppleness of the two fabrics, to see that the Fjallraven Keb Trousers are made, not only to last, but also to be comfortable. These are trousers designed to take you on hikes, through all weathers, across all kinds of terrain, for as many years as you would like them to.

Of course, as with most Blonde stories, the tale of my experience with my new Kebs has a twist to it. Despite ordering the Keb Curved trousers (with extra Blonde room) and these indeed being most excellently shaped for the curvier lady, when I first tried mine on they didn’t quite do up at the zip (my fault, not the trousers). It is testament perhaps to my level of attraction to these hill walkers’ trousers that, within a week of purchase, I had eaten carefully and exercised energetically enough to not only to fasten them but to experience extreme comfort in them on a planned walk with Blonde One. I have worn them many times since and fully appreciated the map-sized pockets, roomy knees and hooks that attach to my boots. These are serious trousers for serious outdoor ventures.

Some days you just want to go for a walk and other days you want to feel womanly, leaderful and epic all at once. You probably need a mountain or a wild moorland for this… oh and a pair of Fjallraven Women’s Keb Trousers (take my recommendation and go for the curved)!

From time to time we Blondes are sent free outdoor products to field test and promote on social media. We will always be honest about our findings and any products we don’t keep for ourselves find their way into our expedition stores. Great for us, great for you and great for our youngsters!
