We’ve mentioned before how difficult it is to buy the right walking trousers. No-one wants to be wearing the wrong trousers do they?!
Blonde Two has recently given her Rohan Troggings a workout, now it’s my turn with the Women’s Trailblazer walking trousers.
Rohan have recently sent me some to try and I have to say they are perfect. The fit is just right, the length is spot on and they are super comfy. I opted for the long length and that turned out to be the right choice; sometimes you can end up tripping over your trousers if the ‘long’ option are a bit too generous. No such problem with these. The built in stretch mean that they’re suitable for walking, pitching tents or scrambling over tors.
One of the most important features for me, in a pair of walking trousers is the pockets. There has to be two pockets as well as two zipped thigh pockets. Again, Rohan came up trumps. My phone will be safe in one side and the route card in the other.
The choice of colour was a no-brainer; Anthracite Grey for me. The Taupe are a bit too light to cope with Dartmoor peat I think.
Hopefully the built in insect protection will keep me tick/mosquito/horsefly free this summer. The built in sun protection is also a good feature. These trousers are definitely coming to Morocco with me this summer so they are going to get a thorough testing. I have every faith in them.
