Paranoia almost set in recently as we spent an idyllic afternoon exploring a little corner of Dartmoor being watched over by a helicopter buzzing around overhead. It spent the whole afternoon with us and did feel as if it was following our route on several occasions. It would disappear for half an hour or so, only to return over the horizon to check up on us. You’re not supposed to wave at helicopters just in case they think you are in trouble but we did say hello.

We think it was the Army’s Merlin helicopter just out training but we preferred to think that it was keeping an eye on us and making sure we were ok. We particularly enjoyed the Christmas Tree flypast!
