Keen have very kindly sent us these Keen Women’s Terradora Leather Mid Waterproof walking boots to try and the result is conclusive … we like them a lot!

I admit to being a bit hesitant about the colour at first. Brown and purple seemed an odd combination but soon realised that this was not a problem when I, without thinking, wore brown trousers and a purple top when we went out to put them through their paces. So they matched perfectly!

I like to have a bit of space in my boots for my feet to have a bit of wriggle room and there was the perfect amount in the Terradora. I was as comfortable in these as I am in my trusty boots that are well and truly moulded to my feet.

We tackled a very steep and potentially slidy path for our test of the Terradora boots and found that even when walking on wet, shiny leaves the sole was reliable and didn’t let us down.

My only slight criticism of the Keen Terradora is that there was not enough of a gap between heel and ball on the sole to accommodate a gaiters strap. The strap didn’t dislodge but was dragging and catching on the ground a little bit. This would make them unsuitable for long, winter walks if you are used to wearing gaiters.

All in all, I would recommend the Keen Terradora as a mid-weight walking boot for autumn or spring walks if you want something very comfortable. Thanks Keen!

From time to time we Blondes are sent free outdoor products to field test and promote on social media. We will always be honest about our findings and any products we don’t keep for ourselves find their way into our expedition stores. Great for us, great for you and great for our youngsters!
