Anything goes on a Monday so, as you all head back to work, here’s something a little bit Blonde and a little bit outdoors to get you thinking.

It’s amazing what you stumble across when you go off the track on Dartmoor. A short deviation from the path on the South Moor recently revealed this little curiosity. It had a label stating it belonged to the Environment Agency but didn’t reveal any further clues as to its purpose. I assume it to be a rain gauge. It is, in my opinion, in the perfect location to gather rain data. As far as I know this area of the South Moor is permanently raining! I would love to have a peek at the data that it provides and know the reason.
