Anything goes on a Monday so, as you all head back to work, here’s something a little bit Blonde and a little bit outdoors to get you thinking.

Wistman’s Wood, just next to the River Dart, is well known locally as being a mystical, magical place. It is home to some of Dartmoor’s ancient dwarf oak trees and is a great place to visit. The views surrounding it are good but once you step into the woods you become absorbed in the twisted branches and the moss covered granite rocks. There are hundreds of lichens and mosses here to study as well as the oak trees themselves. It’s an easy, short walk up from the tiny car park at Two Bridges so it’s a great place to go to on a Sunday afternoon stroll. Well worth a visit!
