Online reviews are funny things. Sometimes useful, sometimes misleading and sometimes downright unkind. I’m not sure why I was reading reviews about Ullapool in Scotland but this particular Trip Advisor effort tickled me…
‘This beach has observable porpoises.’
It made Mr B2 and I wonder whether or not there was such a thing as unobservable porpoises (invisible sea creatures are definitely a potential worry for outdoor swimmers) or indeed, whether the observable porpoises were the result of a typo and were, in fact, observable purposes undertaken by strong-minded and determined individuals.
Needless to say, we got a lot of mileage from the ‘observable porpoises’ during the rest of our trip but didn’t do any actual observing of them at all!
PS Who knew you were allowed to eat haggis for breakfast…
