Last summer Little Miss Blonde and Numbers worked their socks off for the second season on the gorgeous Isles of Scilly so that they could save up enough money for some more travelling. You might remember that last winter they travelled through South East Asia and had an amazing time. Well this winter saw them in Africa!

Once again they have had some amazing experiences and come back with tales of excitement and wonder. They’ve trekked for miles and miles, through desert and jungle. They’ve climbed thousands of metres of hill and mountain. They’ve floated, swam and paddled down numerous rivers. The stories and memories they have come back with are just fantastic. Here’s a quick snapshot:

Transport used – bus, truck, ferry, hire car, bicycles, taxi, mokoro, kayak, aeroplane, paddleboard, sand dune board, truck-lorry-bus.

Animals seen – lion, penguin, gorilla, zebra, giraffe, warthog, leopard, ostrich, buffalo, rhinoceros, impala, crocodile, hippopotamus, chimpanzee, to name but a few.

Countries visited – South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Lesotho, Botswana

Amazing visits – Victoria Falls (and swimming up to the edge!), Okovango Delta, white water rafting, sand dune surfing, gorilla trek, Table Mountain.

Each place they visited was their new favourite and if you ask them now which was their best day they say ‘all of them’!

Once again I am very proud of them both for their hard work in making these trips happen. I’m also a little bit jealous!
