We Blondes are very much enjoying our new relationship with Sigg UK. The arrangement is a mutually satisfactory one, they send us lovely bottles to try out and we tell you how great they are. Which, to be honest, is really easy for us because we really do love Sigg bottles.
Take the two examples below as a case in point. On the left you have my much-loved and oldest Sigg bottle which has been accompanying me on adventures since Mr Blonde Two bought it as wedding anniversary present 10 years ago (by a strange coincidence I bought him a Sigg lunchbox on the same anniversary). Like all good Sigg bottles, Old Pink is now battered and chipped but happy and remains my favourite drinking bottle.
New Pink (right) however is still shiny and a recent gift from Sigg. New Pink comes from the Sigg Sexy range and doesn’t she know it! Her full title is in fact, Sigg Sexy Berry, but I don’t use it in her hearing for fear of her getting too big-headed.
The Sigg Sexy Bottle is maybe not as sturdy or traditional as the original aluminium Sigg bottles but it is equally beautiful, is still far preferable to single use plastic bottles and has a couple of additional benefits. The first of these is that you can see how much you have drunk (more on this in a later post) and the second is that, no matter how thirsty I am in the middle of the night, I can’t induce New Pink to make the slurpy noise that Old Pink makes. This, as you can imagine, is a great relief to Blonde One who has probably lost hours of tent sleep to my slurping over the years.
I was a bit worried that I would have to abandon Old Pink for New Pink in order to preserve B1’s beauty sleep but Sigg are such clever designers that, without even realising it, they have come up with a solution to my problem…. I can swap the non-slurpy top from New Pink to Old Pink and still have the best of both worlds.
As I like both bottles I won’t be doing this all of the time but maybe when B1 and I go on our next wild camp, I will be a good friend and go for a bit of non-slurping with Sexy Sigg Berry.
