That’s it folks, the schools are out, the gates are open and the M5 is looking a tad full… From now on, for six weeks, those of us who live in Devonshire (and the rest of the South West) will have to double our journey times, lose our parking spaces and put up with noisy fairgrounds (well a few of those).
We don’t mind though because it is only fair to share what has to be the most beautiful corner of the UK with the rest of the population. We, after all, are lucky enough to live here all year round.
We know why everyone floods in this direction at this time of year. Even with doubled journey times, you can go from moor to sea in a day and still have time for a sunset sea swim if you so fancy.
