Have you noticed the change in weather over the last week or so? If you ignore Storm Ciara, then you might well be thinking along the same lines as me: Spring is very nearly here! A recent walk along the coast path from Teignmouth to Starcross gave me plenty of evidence to think that the winter might nearly be finished for another year. The flora was stunning: as well as the usual daffodils and snowdrops there were several trees in full blossom. The sky was blue and the waters were calm, giving everyone that optimistic feeling. It certainly was busy along the route with plenty of families getting out and about to enjoy the first signs of warm sunshine.
I think spring is probably my favourite season. But then, maybe not, as I think I say that at the start of every new season!
It can’t be spring yet because we haven’t had winter! I can’t even recall a frost that lasted beyond 10 o’clock in the morning. Apparently snow is statistically more likely at Easter than Christmas so I hold out hope.
Boo to snow at Easter Roddie. I would like to order t-shirt level sunshine! Mind you I did find some beautiful frost near Stonehenge a couple of weeks ago. It was lovely to walk on!
