By: Blonde Two
Well dear Blondees and Blondettes, the Two Blondes are safely back from Ten Tors 2014. There are (of course) stories to tell but for now (as I need my bed), let me give you a few bullet points:
Two Blondes.
Endless mud.
Foul weather.
Rescuing and being rescued.
Scary tent moments.
TV appearances.
Portaloo lessons learnt.
Hearts bursting with pride.
Six 35 Mile team members home at 15:20
Four 55 Mile team members home at 16:45 (nail biting was occurring).
“We counted them out and we counted them all back.”
Job done!
Glad everyone is ok. Been worried about everyone out there this weekend.
Your commitment has been above and beyond. Looking forward to the stories arising from your tasters.
With much admiration
C.
Not forgetting the inventions!
CONGRATULATIONS. To all of you, sleep well, and tell us all about it soon :-)))
Well done blondies! I was getting a bit worried about the 55s – glad everyone back safely xxx
Well done – quite a weekend by the sounds of it!
Your new intro picture is brilliant, very evocative. Almost First World War, out of the trenches. Maybe it felt like that.
I will have to confess to stealing the picture from the Ten Tors website but I felt that it did suit the moment and hope that they won’t be cross with me!
Well done for all your training to be so successful. Looking forward to hearing more. Love and congratulations from proud Mum xx
Congratulations! every time the wind almost blew my roof off, or sent the rain horizontal, I thought about your Ten Torsers. Must have been a tough test of stamina and training!
It really was awful weather, walking in the wind is incredibly energy sapping and I didn’t envy them at all.
Well done to all you all done a fantastic job xxx
Grand stuff – everyone home safely! Lots of snoozies and looking forward to hearing all about it! 🙂
