Written on Thursday… for today… but about Friday… if you understand that, you can understand anything!
As you have probably worked out, Blonde One and I do not wake up at ‘birdies‘ (dawn) every morning to write you a lovely blog post. We either schedule our posts in an online calendar or write them the night before. Today it is the night before (a Blonde sentence if ever I typed one!) and I am attempting to write a blog post about something I…
a) Haven’t done yet
b) Am not even sure I’m going to do
Today’s (yesterday’s) tomorrow Dartmoor weather forecast looked like this…
Copyright Met Office 2017 (we all know that the weather belongs to the Met Office really)
It also had some wind and some even lower ‘feels like’ temperatures (the number 8 was mentioned).
Of course, now it’s tomorrow and no longer today, this forecast is no longer a forecast but may, or may not, be an aftcast.
I could tell you now whether or not the forecast was right and aligned with the actualcast, if I was lying in my bivvy bag, in the maybe snow, on Dartmoor.
But I don’t know, because I don’t even know yet if I am going to be there, in my bivvy bag, in the maybe snow, on Dartmoor.
I also don’t know, if I am in my bivvy bag, in the maybe snow, on Dartmoor, whether or not I am going to be able to get back out of my bivvy bag, through the maybe snow and down off Dartmoor. Sometimes the 4×4 on our truck works, sometimes it doesn’t.
I hope I can because, if I have stayed out all night, in my bivvy bag, in the maybe snow, on Dartmoor, I definitely deserve a really, really nice breakfast!
Will let you know later… or maybe tomorrow, or is that actually today? Who snows?
Whatever do you do when the never-never land becomes the nearly-nearly land and the snow falls upside-down?
