I’m not lucky enough to have Dartmoor views but I do have a lovely view of a church and a field that is sometimes populated by sheep. It is always a great day when returning home from work to find that the sheep are back in the field. I often wonder where they reside when not here! I wonder if they are Dartmoor sheep and feel the same sense of claustrophobia when forced to be more of a ‘townie’ sheep for a while?
Part of the charm of being on Dartmoor is the wild and farm animals that you come across. I recommend taking the time to actually look closely at the animals you pass and appreciate their beauty as well as the landscape’s beauty. A Dartmoor animal can be fascinating if you get close enough (although they can be equally scary if they creep up on you in the dark, as we have found out on several occasions!).
